To begin this tour, we pick up our passengers directly from their accommodations. Once the group is together, we leave San Pedro de Atacama heading south toward the Atacama Salt Flat—one of the main natural attractions in this desert oasis.

About 30 minutes from town, we arrive at the Los Flamencos National Reserve, specifically at Laguna Cejar, where we’ll find three strikingly salty lagoons. We’ll have access to one of them—Laguna Piedra—where our guests can float effortlessly thanks to the high salt concentration. We’ll stay at this location for about an hour, as it’s not recommended to remain in the water for more than 45 minutes. There are freshwater showers and changing rooms available to rinse off the salt and change clothes.

After leaving Laguna Cejar, we continue south for about 15 minutes to visit Ojos del Salar, two freshwater sinkholes in the middle of the salt flat. Swimming is not allowed here due to conservation efforts, but it’s a beautiful spot for photos.

Next, we head to the southernmost point of our tour: Laguna Tebenquiche, a protected area known for its rich biodiversity, including some of the planet’s earliest microorganisms.

We’ll finish our itinerary with a sunset cocktail by the lagoon, enjoying panoramic views of the Atacama Salt Flat and the majestic Andes Mountains.
